Nowadays,
in Spain, abortion is forbidden, due to the fact that the new law want to avoid
it, basing on the idea that it suppose interrupt a pregnant attempting to the
rights of an unborn person.
A
group of researchers in the United Kingdom proved that a foetus of 17 weeks
gestation can have feelings of happiness and pain.
Nevertheless,
I consider that in all the cases, the abortion could be permitted for
teenagers, for women who have taken precautions but in a particular moment it
didn't work, for women who had been raped, for women who are sick and cannot
have it safely, when they baby can have a deformity and parents don’t want to
have it, etc…
But
the most complicated case is the woman who can have it but don’t want, because
it just was a “slip”. In that case, I consider that the woman should choose
what to do, as long as the embryo had not reached 15 weeks. And I would propose
another alternative which would be reward the woman for having him or her,
perhaps with money, and later, give the baby in adoption to couples who want to
have but that can’t. In addition, a child shouldn’t be with a couple where will
never be loved, but with a couple that know how to love and look after him.
To
sum up, from my point of view, abortion, in general terms, shouldn’t be banned,
except for situations related to rapes, adolescence and illness.
A very sensitive topic, good job
